Yann Seabra
is a Stage and Costume Designer, based in London and works internationally, recognized for his extensive contributions to dance, opera, film and television productions.
Known for his visual storytelling, Yann brings a dynamic blend of artistic flair and technical precision to productions of all scales—from intimate indie projects to internationally acclaimed stage works and major studio features.
Yann began his career as a professional dancer, training at the Artes Centre of Amazonas in Manaus, Brazil. Over a 15-year career, he performed with prestigious companies such as Ballet Stagium, Companhia Portuguesa de Bailado Contemporâneo, and Phoenix Dance Theatre. His transition from dancer to designer was a natural evolution, driven by his passion for narrative, movement, and visual expression.
Yann trained in costume and set design for stage and screen at Motley Theatre Design School in London. He has built an expansive portfolio, designing for renowned institutions including the Royal Ballet, Rambert, San Francisco Ballet, and Regent’s park open Air theatre.
In film and television, Yann’s credits include award-nominated projects and collaborations with studios such as Netflix, Apple TV, Amazon MGM, and the Academy Award-nominated The Confession. He has worked in a variety of roles—from Costume Designer to Breakdown Artist and Wardrobe Supervisor—demonstrating versatility and a deep understanding of the demands of screen production.
With a rich, multidisciplinary foundation and a collaborative approach, Yann continues to craft evocative worlds that support and elevate storytelling across genres.
